Puts Elodie’s hand on the tactile cow.
Elodie removes hand.
T:
I wonder, what’s something else
they found when they went walking.
Takes Elodie’s hand and puts back on
tactile cow.
T:
Oh, what’s that you’re feeling?
Elodie grunts and
removes hand.
Teacher takes Elodie’s hand.
Elodie moves her hand back.
T:
It’s got two horns up the top.
Puts her hand under Elodie’s wrist.
T:
Can you feel them?
Elodie removes both hands
and holds them up.
T:
Would you like to feel them Elodie?
E:
Ny
. Sticks tongue out.

Mmm, that wasn’t clear.
(Daena says,

Elodie places one hand on
the teacher’s hand.

Teacher places Elodie’s hands on
the tactile cow.

There’s horns and ears and a nose
and some legs and a tail.
Moves Elodie’s hands over parts of the cow.

Would you like to hear what noise
it makes?
(Daena says
Yeah.
)

It says ‘Moo’.
(Daena says
A cow.
It’s a cow.
)

Moo, is that a cow Elodie?
E:
Ye.
T:
Yes. Yes that’s a cow and Daena
was right and so are you Elodie.
(Students have commenced retelling
the story.)
T:

(Daena says

No, okay that’s fine.
