Miguel gives a big smile to teacher
and sits up straighter.

The teacher moves closer to Miguel

Miguel moves right hand and slightly
lifts the sides of his mouth.

Holds the book in front of Miguel.

The teacher places the book on
Miguel’s table and taps the cover.
T:
Your book’s here. Would you like
to have a turn at turning the page?
Lifts eyes slightly.
T:

Lifts arm and puts on top of book.
TA:
Good boy.
T:
Oh, you would, you are
reaching for it.
T:
Good boy
. Holds other hand.

Can you lift your head?
Lifts head.
T:
Oh, very good.
The teacher places Miguel’s right hand
under the front cover.
T:
OK and we’re going to turn
the page.
Miguel is assisted to turn the page.
His head goes down.
T:
Oh, good boy. Fabulous.
