Students plan, draft and compose an imaginative text. They focus on using language features to create a strong sense of place, character and/or atmosphere.
Students have read literary texts and explored how language is used to engage an audience. They compared the visual and written techniques used by authors and evaluated the impact that language had on the reader. Students were asked to compose an imaginative text that demonstrated controlled use of language to evoke mood and create atmosphere.
