New to the role

TAAs are generally either principals of schools (independent) or nominated individuals who are responsible for large groups of schools (Catholic Systemic schools and the Department of Education). New TAAs need to lodge an authority document with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).

Register new TAA details with NESA

Please provide on your school or organisation’s letterhead:

  • Full name
  • Role
  • Date of birth
  • Address details
  • Direct email address
  • Phone number

Send a scanned copy of the letter to: itreply@nesa.nsw.edu.au

TAAs’ role and responsibilities

TAAs have multiple responsibilities which vary between government, Catholic Systemic and independent schools. Review a list of current TAAs and also TAAs (A/L) who are responsible for accreditation at the voluntary higher levels of Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher.
