Guide to accreditation

From 1 January 2018, you must be accredited to start, continue or return to teaching in a NSW school or early childhood service

Why does accreditation matter?

Being an accredited teacher means you have met the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (APST) at one or more of the four career stages in teaching.

How much does it cost?

Teachers in NSW pay an annual fee to support accreditation and ongoing professional development and training. Payment of the annual fee is a mandatory condition for accreditation. Currently the tax deductible fee is $100 and covers the calendar year.
