New special education hub

Teachers can now access information, guidelines and advice in relation to special education from the Diversity in Learning section of the NESA website.

This new special education hub provides help and assistance to teachers supporting students with disability from K-12, including:

  • disabilities covered by the legislation
  • curriculum options
  • making adjustments
  • collaborative curriculum planning
  • assessment and reporting
  • Years 7-12 Life Skills courses (including planning, programming and assessment)
  • delivering VET courses
  • useful contacts.

As new resources are published to illustrate how students with disability can be supported in the classroom they will be accessible via the new special education hub.
